SRP1 Setting Tool set Retrievable Production Packer
The packer can be set by using a Hydraulic Setting Tool or in some cases an electric line tool with a setting adapter kit. To retrieve, the retrieving tool is stab in, pushed downward to latch on the packer, follow by straight pull to shear release the shear sleeve upward, this release the packer locking mechanism collapse the slips and continue upward pull will the packer out.
The SRP1 packer is usually running, setting, release and retrieval by without tubing rotation. The element package of packer is providing the primary seal between the casing and packer mandrel. The Scoop-head design saves time when landing seal units and accessories. The packer has a Cage Slip beneath the elements simplifies releasing and retrieval. The Cage Slip design distributes stresses and remains locked to retain element compression and it holding a packer securely against well pressures from above and below. It provides a 360° casing contact and requires no slip carrier.
The packer used a c-ring release mechanism locks the packer in the set position and is Flow-isolated. The anchor lug in the top sub allows torque to be transmitted through the packer. The threaded bottom sub is for running seal bore extensions or tubing tailpipe.
